Product Detail Passive Fire Protection Jackets

Explosion-Proof and Fire-Resistant Insulation
Explosion-proof and fire-resistant insulations are an effective method for protecting equipment exposed to fire hazards. They minimize the risk and damage caused by fires and prevent operational shutdowns in refineries, oil platforms, petrochemical plants, power plants, shipbuilding facilities, and defense industries. The use of this type of insulation significantly reduces heat transfer and delays internal temperature rise.
The flexible nature of this insulation makes it suitable for protecting equipment with complex geometric structures. This insulation has been successfully tested for hydrocarbon pool fire (UL 1709) with a heat flux of 220 kW/m² and jet fire with a heat flux up to 350 kW/m² (1350°C). This allows components (actuators) to continue operating uninterrupted during catastrophic events such as UL 1709 type fires (pool fires) or OTI 95634 and ISO 22899-1 type fires (jet fires) and explosions, thereby ensuring system safety.
The outer structure of the jacket insulation is resistant not only to fire but also to environmental impacts such as UV radiation, cold temperatures, humidity, and chemical agents.
